The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
by Douglas Adams
Pulled this one off my shelf after a number of years. I read it over lunch with caution, careful not to spew and food or drink in a sudden burst of laughter. Alas, the precaution was unnecessary. Whether it's due to my increased age and/or maturity, or it's because I already know all the good jokes, I did not find this book as funny as, say, something by Terry Pratchett. Ah, well. What can you do?
